Conference on Asian Pacific American Leadership (CAPAL) helps increase Asian Pacific American (APA) participation in public service by providing APA undergraduate and graduate students with federal internship opportunities. This program teaches both interns and current federal employees the importance of having diversity in the public workforce.
While participating in this program, I collaborated with four other CAPAL interns to create a video targeted towards Asian American Millennials that promotes APA involvement in public service. Featuring a series of interviews with APA community leaders, this video aims to inspire young Asian Pacific Americans to become more civically engaged. This project was filmed and edited by myself, while my teammates assisted in both interviewing our guests and gathering data featured at the beginning and end of the video.
